The Honors Program congratulates Melissa Medlin for here paper “The Truth About Numbers: A Study of the Misuse of Statistics in Business.” The paper, selected for presentation by a national panel of business professors, won a cash award generously provided by Irwin-McGraw Hill Publishing Co. at the international meeting of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business in Indianapolis on August 14. A 2007 CNU graduate, Ms. Medlin is entering the Ph.D. program in Mathematics at ODU this fall. She began her research in an Honors class in Business Ethics and Regulation and was sponsored by Professor Ronnie Cohen.
